Nine Emperor Gods Festival

Today passby one temple in Ampang; Kau Ong Yah Lam Thian Kong Temple. Correct me if I'm wrong. This is my first time seeing so many people. My friend told me, it's the 'kow wong yeh' (cantonese) festival or Kiew Ong Ya or jiǔhuángyé or Nine Emperor Gods.

After reading some articles in the net, the event is celebrated for nine days on the ninth month of the Lunar Calendar, the Nine Emperor Gods Festival at the Ampang Kau Ong Yah Lam Thian Kong Temple is a not-to-be-missed event. The festival began today. (18 Oct 2009) . The deities (and devotees) are feted with vegetarian food and a traditional Chinese opera. The noisy, colourful and smoky celebrations end with a bare feet fire-crossing ceremony. (source : mycen)

For those who wants to go there, there's direction from the site mentioned. Plenty of parking ( you can see ppl waving their yellow flag telling you got parking, with some charges of cus...) and the road is very narrow. Other option, park nearby Spectrum Mall and walk to the temple area. That's better. Triple celebration eh, Raya-Deepavali-Kowongyeh... Did I miss out any?

weird. sad. mix cocktail.

I went through my day today just like the other days. But am not sure why, on this day... I got this weird feelings that makes me feel down/sad but I don't feel like there's anything significant happen today that makes me sad. Why is that?

Help! I seriously don't like this kind of feeling slip into me...

Anyways, today's lunch I had 'pak cham kai'. (Chicken steeped in stock). Direct translation - 'White chopped chicken'.... Not sure on how to pronounce and spell it at first; I googled it and that's how ppl spell it. Here is an example of pak cham kai. Too lazy to take pic or describe it, so just link to there. I like it, but too oily...

relaxing and enjoying

Hari Raya holiday is so 'fun'! Not fun as in attending friends' and relatives' hse and eat eat eat and eat... that will be more stressful right. You have to attend those open house (which is of course fun) but at same time; tiring. Need to fetch friends, call them, drive to this person house, that person house, then sit and eat...end up at the end of the day, store lemak (lemang).. hehe.. and tired. I missed those nice and delicious cookies tho' ... craving it sometimes. But I rather skip it. Stay at home, relax, enjoying the fresh air -strong wind. Exercising, doing house chores, dancing, singing. Watching movie with a bunch of close friends and ordered for Nando's Peri Medic delivery. Aaah...
